The word, tides, refers to the daily rise and fall of the water level in the world's oceans. The picture at the right shows the fort at St. Malo in France at different times of the day.
What causes tides? How can you figure out what causes them? In this lesson, you will begin by collecting data on tides. The experiments in this lesson show the tides on different days.
